How we use your information — in plain English

📋 What information do we collect?

Your name and username
Your school and year group
Your answers to practice questions
Your scores and progress over time

🤖 Does AI see my answers?

Yes — when you submit a written answer, it is sent to an AI service called Mistral AI so it can mark your work and give you feedback.

            Important: Before your answer is sent, we automatically
            remove anything that might identify you personally — like if you wrote your
            name or email address in the answer box. The AI only sees your science
            answer, not who you are.
        

👩‍🏫 Who can see my work?

Your teacher can see your scores and progress.
Your parent or guardian can see your progress if they have a linked account.
Nobody outside your school can see your identified work.

📢 Is AI feedback always right?

Not always. The AI gives a first opinion, but your teacher has the final say. If you think a mark is wrong, tell your teacher and they can check it.

🗑️ Can I ask for my data to be deleted?

Yes. If you want your data removed, ask your teacher or email us at Privacy@henleyed.co.uk. We will respond within 5 working days.

🔒 Is my information safe?

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and store your data on secure servers. We never sell your information or use it for adverts.
